Halfway with Nugget: 20 weeks

It’s that time again – time to post the weekly updates on our next little one that’s cooking away.  I have to admit, this baby came a little faster than Jeremy & I thought he/she would, but we are really excited about it.  Molly and her brother or sister will be 13 months apart, assuming he or she cooks till full term (keep your fingers crossed!)  Given we had a tough time conceiving Molly, it’s been a wonderful blessing not to go through all the medical things we went through last time.  This pregnancy has been a bit different & a bit tougher – some people’s reaction to that is “Then it’s a boy!” while I’m just convinced that getting pregnant again 4 months after delivering a baby means my body wasn’t in the same shape it was when I got pregnant last time around so it handles it differently.  In any case, I wanted to make sure to pick up the weekly updates again so when Nugget arrives and gets older, he or she can see the week-by-week update of how he or she is doing and how his/her mama is doing 🙂 So here you go!

20 weeks

How Far Along: 20 weeks
Total Weight Gain: 7 pounds.
Maternity Clothes: Nothing that I didn’t have last time, but I’ve already broken out the maternity shorts – they are so much more comfortable.
Stretch Marks? Nope!
Sleep: Can’t really say that any poor sleep is due to Nugget.  If it happens, it’s due to Molly waking up.
Best moment this week: Seeing our newest little one on the scan screen. Last time we had a scan was 12 weeks so it was amazing to see the development!
Miss Anything? Wine. Again. I’ve told Jeremy I’m going binge drinking once this baby is born 😉
Movement: Yes! And starting to increase/get stronger.
Food cravings: Nothing.
Anything making you queasy or sick: In general, no but something didn’t agree with me or the baby and made me sick, but it’s the only time it’s happened.
Gender: Unknown – and YES, we are keeping it that way. The surprise is amazing!
Labor Signs: No no no no no.
Symptoms: Occasional heartburn (again!) and occasional growing cramps.
Belly Button in or out? Flat.
Wedding rings on or off? On, but on the opposite hand because of dry & itchy patches on my left ring finger 🙁
Happy or Moody most of the time: Happy happy but definitely have my bouts of pregnancy crying!
Looking forward to: Moving home.  I’m really excited to have the second half of this pregnancy nearer to my family this time.
